7 Spectacular Fictional Christmas Alternatives

Dec. 25 3:45 AM by Dave Rudden

Whether they're honoring, spoofing, or just plain avoiding Christmas, these seven fictional holidays almost match the spirit of the season with a weird twist all their own. Whether you're celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or one of these, OMGLists wishes you a happy holiday!

7- Decemberween

The Holiday:

Taking place "55 days after Halloween," Decemberween is a day of gift-giving and caroling, yes, but it also includes two Kobe Bryants and a traditional meal of bunnies.

The Celebrators:

Homestar Runner, Strong Bad and all the other citizens of Free Country, USA.

6- Christmahanukwanzaka

The Holiday:

A mash-up of the three major December holidays (suck it, Boxing Day), Chrismu... Chrismau... the holiday listed up there is a celebration of low cell phone prices and no restrictive contracts!

The Celebrators:

Customers of Virgin Mobile USA. So nobody, really.

5- Feast of the Winter Veil

The Holiday:

In the Feast of the Winter Veil, the adventurous citizens of Azeroth seek out a dwarf in a red suit named Greatfather Winter who gives out presents if you give him milk and cookies. There's also a quest to rescue Metzen the Reindeer who has been kidnapped by pirates, and another to confront the evil yeti, The Greench.

The Celebrators:

The virtuous souls who fork over fifteen bucks a month to play World of Warcraft.

4- Ludachristmas

The Holiday:

Holiday parties can be amazing events filled with drunkenness and debauchery and everything most people crave. Unfortunately, there's those religious overtones that make it all awkward. Thankfully, there's Ludchristmas, which combines the fun-loving lifestyle of the world-renowned rapper with the Christian-celebrated holiday.

The Celebrators:

The cast of TGS with Tracy Jordan at 30 Rock.

3- Xmas

The Holiday:

There will come a time in the not too distant future when Christmas will be forgotten and Santa Claus will be but a memory. Soon after that, Xmas (eks-mas) will arrive and we will all be subject to Robot Santa's impossibly high standards and subsequent murderous wrath.

The Celebrators:

Fry, Leela, Bender, and just about every other human, alien, and robot living in the year 3000.

2- Life Day-

The Holiday:

In order to pay homage to the life-giving power of the planet of Kashyyyk and the lives of its citizens, Life Day was conceived. During Life Day, celebrators dress up in red robes and visit the Tree of Life. Oh, and then everyone takes an even bigger dump on the legacy of Star Wars than the collective casts of the prequel movies.

The Celebrators:

Wookies, various members of the Rebel Alliance, and Bea Arthur. But not George Lucas.

1- Festivus

The Holiday:

In order to escape the commercialism and good feelings of Christmas, Festivus is celebrated every December 23rd with a large aluminum pole, airing of grievances against your family members, and "Feats of Strength," which amount to a wrestling match against the head of the household

The Celebrators:

The Costanzas and occasional passers-by into the sick and twisted events of their life.
